Since SVAN’s inception in February 1997 we have sponsored, co-sponsored or coordinated more than 320 programs and projects and have entertained over 13,000 guests solely through the efforts of unpaid volunteers and less than 10% grant funding. A Board of Directors reviews and approves annual budgets and program schedules. Officers and Directors are elected annually by a vote of the full membership. SVAN’s primary sources of income are membership fees, targeted donations, program fees, public fundraising projects, and the bartering of services and resources between individuals, organizations, and local governments.
