On February 4, the Town of Hope was awarded its first New York State Council on
the Arts (NYSCA) grant from the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts in an Awards
Ceremony at the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors meeting in Lake Pleasant.
The Town of Hope is partnering with the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network to present
three Musical Concerts and a Shakespeare in the Adirondack Park comedy, The
Twelfth Night at the Town of Hope Pavilion.
Barbara Reffitt stated that SVAN is very excited to bring this exciting program of
very talented musicians and actors to the residents of the Town of Hope and the
surrounding region. This year, these programs will be free to the residents with a
request for donations to help defray costs.
Reffitt announced that the performances will include Folk, Irish and a wide variety
of music to dance to; music from the sixties and seventies to sing along with, or for
those in the audience who prefer to sit back and relax may do so with music of jazz
and Rhythm and Blues. The Shakespearian comedy will be performed by a one‐of‐akind
touring theater featuring professional actors and local talent that will have you
laughing out loud.
SVAN invites everyone to come to the beautiful countryside Pavilion in the Town of
Hope this summer for four late afternoons of entertainment and relaxation. To
