SVAN QUILTS This section is dedicated to all our quilters, past and present, who produce wonderful works of art in fabric to support our organization. All work is done by hand and takes several months to complete. Each volunteer works on one or two panels of a 20 panel quilt, with other volunteers sewing the panels together, adding borders and backing. This is the single largest annual fund-raiser for SVAN. The quilt can be seen at most SVAN events as well as at other regional venues throughout the spring and summer months, where raffle tickets can be purchased. The drawing for the quilt winner will be on August 22, 2010. If you have photographs or information you could share regarding any of the SVAN Quilts made over the years, please contact SVAN. We would appreciate being able to add the images and information to our quilt archives! |
